HOME OF THE JOHN CARROLL EQUESTRIAN TEAM

The John Carroll Equestrian Team is member team of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association or IEA.

Each year, we have qualified both as a team and as individual riders for Zone 3 finals.  John Carroll was proud to send a rider to the IEA National Competition in 2010, 2014 and 2015.

Why IEA?

IEA offers our riders unique opportunities to prepare for collegiate riding formats, earn college scholarships, and enjoy team competition and camaraderie while still showing and succeeding with individual recognition at both the local and national level.

RIDER EXPECTATIONS

Due to the nature of the IEA competitions and the fact that each Rider will be using unfamiliar horses in an unfamiliar environment, it is crucial to be in a consistent, structured lesson program throughout our show season (September – April).  It is a requirement that each rider take a lesson at Claddagh Manor.

Each IEA rider can only participate in 5 competitions in one season. There is usually an average of 20 shows held in a season.  The John Carroll team will choose as many shows as required for all riders to compete in their 5 shows.  This selection is usually based on competition location, school calendar and coach availability.

Claddagh Manor is like a second home to me! After riding with them the past 10 years they treat me like family. They’re truly the best! Couldn’t be more thankful for this place and the trainers.
